NEW DELHI: Popular dating app Tinder has announced that it will soon start testing the Global mode. This new feature will enable date seekers to allow their profiles to show up around the world. Along with this, users will also be able to view and match with the people who live in other countries.

With the upcoming Global Mode, user profiles will be popular all around the world. Moreover, this new feature will also be free to use. The feature is presently available in the testing phase and is used by some users. However, the company will soon roll out the feature for all the Tinder users. So, with the Global Mode, live Tinder users will be able to virtually date any other Tinder user from any part of the globe.

In an official statement Tinder said that it’s speeding up the process of getting rid of geographical filters from the app. Recently, the company also announced that it will soon bring a one-on-one video chat feature in the app.

The company made this announcement in its earnings release and the feature will make it to the app later this year. “Social distancing has required adaptations and pivots and has impacted our business because the manner in which singles engage with our products and start relationships has quickly evolved. We know that singles are adjusting their behaviors, and many are shifting to having dates virtually via phone or video,” said the company in a press statement.

The company has also mentioned that its product and engineering teams are working quickly to reply to this one-on-one video chat feature on all its dating platforms.
