BBK-owned smartphone brand Realme is going to launch a 55-inch variant of the Realme smart TV next month. This was revealed by Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth in his latest edition of AskMadhav video on YouTube. For those unaware, the company has 32-inch and 43-inch models in the smart TV lineup that were launched at Rs 12,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively.
While the former offers HD-Ready (1366×768 pixels) resolution the latter comes with full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution. Other than the screen size and resolution, both the TVs have the same specifications.
Coming back to the video, the India CEO of the company also revealed that Realme is gearing up to launch a wireless charger soon.
The company’s plans to launch a wireless charger have been in the rumour mill since January 2020 when it launched the Realme Buds Air. Back then, a Realme-branded wireless charging pad was even spotted on Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) website.that revealed that the Realme wireless charger will support a charging speed of 5W. The listing also included an image of the alleged wireless charger, which showed that it could sport a circular design with Realme branding in the middle. It remains to be seen if the Chinese brand launches the same product or has made some changes before making it available to end customers.
Another thing that was revealed in this episode was that the Realme C2 is expected to receive Android 10-based Realme UI update by September 2020. Sheth also revealed that three Realme smartphones — Realme 1, Realme 2, and Realme U1 — are not going to get a Realme UI update.
