Poco M2 Pro gets listed on Bluetooth SIG, WiFi certification websites – Janta Express Daily

Former Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has been rumoured to launch a new M-series smartphone since a while now as various online reports have hinted about the handset. Now the same handset has been spotted on Bluetooth and WiFi certification websites leading to speculation that the launch is imminent.

As per a report by XDA-Developers, the
Poco M2 Pro has been found on the Wi-Fi certification listing with model number M2003J6CI. For those unaware, this is the same model number with which the handset was previously also rumoured to be seen online and the latest listing just confirms the same.

The Wi-Fi certification website suggests that the handset will run on Android 10-based MIUI 11 and run on MIUI 11 out of the box. Also, it confirms that the Poco M2 Pro will run on dual-band Wi-Fi.

As per the Bluetooth SIG, the Poco M2 Pro is said to come with Bluetooth v5.0. There are a couple of Xiaomi Redmi smartphones listed on Bluetooth SIG website as well — Redmi Note 9S (M2003J6A1G), the
Redmi Note 9 Pro (M2003J6A1I) and the
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (M2003J6B1I).

There aren’t many rumoured specifications when it comes to the alleged dPoco M2 Pro, however, it has been speculated that the device will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 SoC.

The company this month has already launched its flagship smartphone —
Poco F2 Pro — globally and in India is gearing up to launch its first truly wireless earbuds.

This week only, C Manmohan, general manager, Poco India asked the Poco fans to choose a name for the upcoming product on Twitter by giving them four options — Poco Move Buds, Poco Klip Buds, Poco Pop Buds and Poco Funkz. Then on the following day, the company confirmed that Poco Pop Buds has been chosen as the final name of the first truly wireless earbuds by getting the highest share of votes — 42.4% out of a total 21,416 votes.
